EG signs agreement to aquire Zeroni Oy
Copenhagen, 16 January 2024 – Today, EG announced the signing of an agreement to acquire the Finnish software supplier Zeroni, aiming to strengthen its position as a leading provider of industry-specific software for the construction and industrial sectors in the Nordic region.
Zeroni is a prominent Finnish software provider of workforce and contractor management, and the software is widely used in both the construction and industrial sectors.
"In an intuitive and simple way, the software facilitates workforce and contractor management enabling greater efficiency and employee safety", says Mikkel Bardram, CEO at EG. He sees a great potential in extending the software beyond the construction and industrial sectors to EG's clients in energy and facility management.
EG Construction is EG's largest business area with more than 300 specialists, and with the agreement EG aims to add even more competencies and expand the current base to over 16,000 customers in the Nordic construction industry.
In 2021, EG expanded its construction portfolio by acquiring the Finnish software companies, Jydacom and Silverbucket, that excel in project and resource management. The Zeroni software complements these tools, making it an ideal addition to the existing EG Construction software portfolio.
Highly complementary product portfolios
Aleksander Bjaaland, Senior Vice President in EG Construction, notes, "The combination of Zeroni's and EG Construction's product portfolio is highly complementary and will provide us with the opportunity to offer customers even more advantages by digitizing workflow management and directing resources to productive work.
Zeroni is an excellent match for our construction software offerings in Finland, and I look forward to offering our customers in Denmark, Sweden, and Norway even more specialized software that saves them time and enhances safety at the construction site," adds Aleksander Bjaaland.
Further growth potential
Kaarlo Vakkilainen, CEO at Zeroni, states, "I see a strong cultural match, and as EG, we have a significant focus on delivering software that supports and optimizes our customers' business. We take pride in joining a highly professional company that has the capacity to unlock our growth potential, not only in Finland but also across the Nordic countries."
EG signed the agreement to acquire Zeroni on 13 December 2023. Closing is subject to customary regulatory approval.
